Users locked out of the app
Reports of problems with Revolut began appearing early on Monday, according to RMF24. Customers said they could not sign in to the app, card payments were being rejected, and transfers were not going through. Some also reported having no access to money held in their accounts.
The disruption was not limited to one country. RMF24 reported that complaints came from users on several markets, including Poland, and social media filled with posts from people unable to pay for purchases or withdraw cash.
What the company said
Revolut acknowledged the problem in a statement published on its social media channels, as reported by RMF24. The company said some service features were affected and certain elements might be unavailable. It added that client money and personal data were safe, and that its technical team was working to restore full service as quickly as possible.
Biznes Interia reported that the company confirmed the issues after users made them public (Awaria Revoluta. Użytkownicy zgłaszają problemy, firma potwierdza problemy - Biznes w INTERIA.PL – biznes.interia.pl). That report also described the outage as affecting payments and account access.
Open questions
Neither report gave a cause for the outage or a timeline for full restoration of service. Revolut asked customers to follow its official channels for updates.
For Polish users, the outage matters because many rely on the app for everyday card payments and transfers. Until the company publishes details, customers who need to pay or send money may have to use other bank cards or payment methods.
