Bayern on the trail of Poland international

Bayern Munich is closely watching 18-year-old Oskar Pietuszewski, a Poland international playing for FC Porto (Oskar Pietuszewski na liście giganta. I to wysoko. Hit na horyzoncie – Przegląd Sportowy) (Pietuszewski na celowniku giganta. Polak pod czujną obserwacją – Meczyki.pl). According to Christian Falk and Julian Agardi of Bild, the German champions' scouts have been analysing his performances both in the Portuguese league and in European competitions for some time (Bayern chce Pietuszewskiego! Tyle muszą zapłacić. "Odbyły się rozmowy" – Sport.pl) (To byłby hit. Oskar Pietuszewski wysoko na liście życzeń absolutnego giganta | Transfery.info – transfery.info). Pietuszewski reportedly sits high on the Bavarian club's wish list.

Díaz injury opens the door

The heightened interest comes amid a problem in Bayern's attack. Luis Díaz is injured, and Serge Gnabry and Alphonso Davies have played on the left flank of the attack in recent matches. The club is therefore looking to strengthen that position.

Interest is not new

Bayern had been tracking Pietuszewski as early as late 2025, when he played for Jagiellonia Białystok. Club representatives attended, among other matches, Jagiellonia's meeting with Rayo Vallecano in the Conference League (Oskar Pietuszewski i Bayern Monachium. Polak na liście – PiłkaNożna.pl – pilkanozna.pl). The Pole chose Porto, which he joined in January 2026.

What the player costs

Porto signed Pietuszewski from Jagiellonia for €8.6 million. Transfermarkt currently values him at €25 million. His contract with the Portuguese champions runs until mid-2031. According to one report, his release clause is €60 million.

Season so far

For Porto, the Pole has played 22 matches, scoring four goals and providing four assists. This season, however, he has appeared in only four games because of health problems (Bayern Monachium zainteresowany Polakiem? – sportowefakty.wp.pl). He last played on October 20 and did not feature in the 4-1 Champions League win over Napoli.

No negotiations

At this stage there is no information about talks having begun or about Bayern preparing a concrete offer. The reports so far concern observation of the player, not a formal interest in a transfer.
