From November 1, new Polish company registrations in CEIDG can be filed only online

Online-only filing from November 1

The Ministry of Development and Technology reminded that from November 1 an application to start a business activity in the Central Registration and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG) can be filed only electronically (MRiT: wniosek o rozpoczęcie działalności gospodarczej tylko przez internet – wnp.pl). The ministry said the exception covers minors who want to set up a company (Nowe przepisy dla firm. Rejestracja działalności wyłącznie przez internet – RMF24). It described the change as the first stage of broader reforms aimed at simplifying formalities for business owners.

Where to file

Applicants can register a new firm through the Biznes.gov.pl service and the mObywatel app, as well as through selected banks and platforms supporting entrepreneurs.

Further changes planned

The ministry has announced further changes for 2028. Reports say the next stage will extend digital procedures for business owners, though the details of those changes were not fully specified in the reporting.
