New licences for Zabrze and Silesia

The National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) awarded cable licences to the television programmes Telewizja Zabrze and TVB24, and to the radio programme Radio BEST, at its session on November 4, 2026 (KRRiT przyznała nowe koncesje. The council also extended the licence for the TV Ostrów programme by ten years.

TVB24 continues an earlier project

TVB24 is a successor to TVB Myślibórz. The licence for the informational and current-affairs programme TVB Myślibórz, held by Audio-Video-Foto-Usługi Krzysztof Buczyński, expired on May 17, 2026. The new universal-format licence went to TVB24 Artur Sawicki, a company registered on July 9, 2026.

Telewizja Zabrze and its older licence

Telewizja Zabrze has broadcast since 1992, according to reports. Its earlier licence, which is still valid, remains in the regulator's register alongside the new one.

Radio BEST and digital radio

The new licence for Radio BEST may open the way for the station to move to terrestrial digital radio (DAB+).

Changes to Lubuski TV Horyzont

The council also agreed to change the conditions of the Lubuski TV Horyzont licence, increasing the share of local content in its programming.
