Radomiak Radom has officially announced that defender Kryspin Szcześniak suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (Dramat kadrowicza Urbana, będzie zabieg. Klub oficjalnie ogłosił – Interia Sport). The injury occurred on Sunday in the Polish Cup tie against Avia Świdnik, which Radomiak lost 1:2. Szcześniak was carried off on a stretcher in the 59th minute.

Diagnosis and surgery

Magnetic resonance imaging confirmed the damage, and the club reported it in an official statement (Bardzo poważna kontuzja gracza Ekstraklasy. Klub wydał komunikat – Przegląd Sportowy). The club also said the ligament tear is accompanied by other damage, and that surgery will be carried out.
