Meeting in the Kremlin
Peskov said Rezaei was in Moscow at the time of the talks (Путин встретился в Кремле с секретарем Высшего совета нацбезопасности Ирана – interfax.ru). Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT reported the same meeting, dating it to Thursday in Moscow (Putinas Maskvoje priėmė Irano saugumo vadovą – LRT).
Earlier phone call
The meeting followed a telephone conversation between the two leaders on 2 November, according to Iran's Tasnim news agency. Tasnim said the call covered the situation in the Middle East, with a particular focus on Western Asia, and that the sides discussed continuing the strategic partnership between Russia and Iran based on an action plan drawn up by the top leadership of both countries. The call was described as part of high-level consultations between Tehran and Moscow after recent visits by senior officials from both countries.
