Rostec unveils mobile version of Tsitadel anti-drone gun system on truck chassis

In brief

• Rostec has built a mobile version of the ZAK-30 Tsitadel anti-aircraft system on a vehicle chassis.
• The corporation says the mobile variant can be moved quickly to sites needing air-defence protection.
• Rostec's claims about combat testing and drone interception are its own and have not been independently verified.

Mobile version mounted on a vehicle chassis

Rostec said its specialists have built a mobile version of the ZAK-30 Tsitadel anti-aircraft artillery complex (Rusija pristatė naują pabūklų sistemą, skirtą kovai su dronais – ve.lt) (Ростех разработал мобильную версию комплекса «Цитадель» на автомобильном шасси – mail.ru) («Ростех» разработал мобильную версию антидроновой «Цитадели» – gazeta.press). The combat module, along with radar and optical detection systems, has been installed on an automotive chassis. According to the corporation, the change allows the system to be moved quickly to facilities that need protection against air attack.

Claimed capabilities

It says the system uses programmable-detonation "smart" shells and a new fire-control system, which it claims reduces ammunition consumption compared with standard anti-aircraft guns. The company argues the mobile variant will give mobile fire groups wider target-engagement capabilities.

Export debut

The stationary system was first shown abroad in September, at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026 in Egypt.
