Major changes for patients at the Szczecin hospital: new entrance, bus route and drop-off zone

Old main gate closed to patients

The former main gate by the LPR helipad on Unii Lubelskiej Street is no longer open to patients from 2 November (Duże zmiany dla pacjentów przy szpitalu w Szczecinie. Nowe zasady dojazdu i wejścia – RMF24) (Całkowicie zamykają dotychczasowe wejście, autobusy pojadą dłuższą trasą. Duże zmiany na terenie szpitala przy Unii Lubelskiej - Szczecin – wszczecinie.pl). Vehicle access there was already shut in September. The pedestrian route at that spot is closed from the same date. The area has been handed to the general contractor and added to the construction site of a new children's surgical center.

Gate 3 becomes the main route

Patients and visitors are now directed to gate 3, which leads to the main hospital building and the emergency department (Dojazd do szpitala przy Unii Lubelskiej. Wprowadzono zmiany – radioszczecin.pl).

Bus line 95 gets a shorter route

From 2 November, buses on line 95 run between Osiedle Zawadzkiego and Plac Norwida (Zmiany przy szpitalu. Linia 95 pojedzie inaczej – 24kurier.pl). The old terminus at the main gate has been removed. A new stop at gate 3 serves only buses heading toward Plac Norwida, and the new final stop is on Jackowskiego Street by the square.

Drop-off zone and parking

A Kiss&Ride zone has opened near the hospital, so drivers can drop passengers close to the entrance without looking for a parking space. RMF FM reports that parking in front of the hospital may become harder in the near term.
