In brief
- The regulator URE has set the 2027 capacity fee.
- Household rates stay at the 2026 level.
- Businesses not billed flat-rate get four quarterly rates, all below the 2026 rate of 0.2194 zloty net per kWh.
Households: no increase in the capacity fee
The capacity fee, a line item on electricity bills, will not rise for households in 2027. The URE president has frozen rates for customers billed on a flat-rate basis for the whole year. (Nowe wieści w sprawie rachunków za prąd. URE podał stawki na przyszły rok – fakt.pl) Household bills will therefore keep this component at its current level. Businesses: quarterly rates from 1 January
For firms and industrial customers that are not billed on a flat-rate basis, the rate will change. For the first time, it will vary by quarter instead of staying fixed for the year. (Opłata mocowa 2027. Nowe stawki dla firm i przedsiębiorców – mycompanypolska.pl) From 1 January 2027, the rates per kilowatt-hour will be:
- Q1: 0.1925 zloty net
- Q2: 0.2141 zloty net
- Q3: 0.1984 zloty net
- Q4: 0.1950 zloty net
For comparison, this group paid 0.2194 zloty net per kilowatt-hour in 2026. Each quarterly rate is lower than that figure. The first quarter shows the largest reduction, about 12.3 percent, while the second quarter shows the smallest.
Peak hours and formal rules
The regulator has also set 15 peak hours for businesses, which will apply throughout 2027. The rules for applying the rates are strict, and firms should check the URE communications for the exact calculation method.
Monthly impact
The figure applies to the group the announcement covers and does not change the household freeze.
