Adam Kołaczkowski gave interviews in connection with the release of the book "AŚKA. Joanna Kołaczkowska in memoirs," for which he wrote the foreword (Poruszające wyznanie syna Joanny Kołaczkowskiej. Regret and confession

In an interview with PAP, the son said what he regrets most about his mother's death. The statement was widely picked up by the media. On Magda Mołek's podcast he spoke about the difficult moments he went through and how great a support his mother had been for him.

First symptoms of the illness

Adam Kołaczkowski described the first symptoms of cancer he noticed in his mother. Earlier, the actress had told acquaintances that her head had been hurting badly for a week.

Illness and death

Joanna Kołaczkowska was fighting glioblastoma. In April 2025, the Hrabi cabaret announced the end of her professional activity. The artist died on the night of 16 to 17 July 2025 and was buried at the Powązki Military Cemetery.

Colleagues from the cabaret

After the actress's death, members of the Hrabi cabaret suspended their activity for about six months.
