Preparation and nerves

Polsat has aired a special episode of 'Milionerzy' featuring influencer Mikołaj "Bagi" Bagiński and dancer Magdalena Tarnowska, the winners of the 17th season of 'Dancing with the Stars'. The episode, numbered 154, aired Thursday at 19:55 on Polsat („Bagi” i Magda tak zbierają kasę. „Nie dla siebie, to dla nas taka misja” – polsat.pl).

The rules stayed the same as in the regular show: up to one million złoty, twelve questions and three of four lifelines available. The difference was the purpose. Winnings were not kept by the couple but were earmarked for beneficiaries of Fundacja Polsat ("Milionerzy" w wyjątkowym wydaniu. Bagi i Magda Tarnowska zagrali dla dzieci. Ile wygrali? – eska.pl). Host Hubert Urbański opened the episode by describing the programme as a mix of entertainment, education and charity.

The foundation's board, led by president Agnieszka Grzegorczyk, sat in the audience. The foundation is marking 30 years of activity this year (Magda Tarnowska i Bagi w nowej roli. Co ich czeka? – kozaczek.pl).

Bagiński said the pair had spent three or four days before the recording reading quiz questions found online, covering both early and final-stage material. Tarnowska said she was so nervous that she listened to general-knowledge podcasts while driving. Both said that preparing for the show is a lifelong effort.

Pomponik reported that Bagiński had asked production about his chances in the game, which Tarnowska reportedly did not share (Bagi próbował po cichu poprawić swoją sytuację w "Milionerach". Na przekór Tarnowskiej wypytywał produkcję – Pomponik). Whether either of them had advance access to questions has not been confirmed.

Prize outcome

Eska reported the couple gave their winnings to children in need, but the exact amount was not published in the material we reviewed. Wirtualnemedia's report focused on the announcement of the special episode (Polsat pokaże specjalny odcinek "Milionerów" z influencerami – Wirtualnemedia.pl).

Why it matters

The format shows how Polish broadcasters use celebrity participants and charity tie-ins to attract viewers to traditional game shows. For Polsat, the episode links a popular social-media personality with a foundation's anniversary campaign.
