According to Ukrainska Pravda, a Ukrainian daily, on the evening of 2 November Russia attacked Kyiv with unmanned aerial vehicles, and in the Darnytskyi district a fire broke out after the remains of a drone fell. As Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko said, the fragments fell on open ground and the grass surface caught fire, and rescue services are working at the scene. The paper also recalls that President Volodymyr Zelensky, citing intelligence data, had earlier warned of a new massive strike on Ukraine. Ukrainian TSN reports that Ukraine's permanent representative to the UN, Andrii Melnyk, called on states to execute the International Criminal Court arrest warrants against Vladimir Putin and five other Russian officials. According to TSN, the diplomat spoke at a UN General Assembly session devoted to the ICC report, citing Ukrinform. According to a Polish press review, Ukrainska Pravda reports that the US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff announced talks between Russia and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi on 10–11 November, in which the United States is to act as mediator. As the outlet relays, working-level talks are to address post-war agreements, security, de-escalation and humanitarian issues, and Witkoff is also to meet in Brussels with representatives of France, Germany, the UK, the EU and NATO on security guarantees for Ukraine. Ukrainian NV reports that MP Serhiy Kozyr, former head of the Kherson regional military administration, told Radio NV in an interview that there are many stories about Russian sabotage groups entering Kherson, but they are usually not disclosed. NV quotes his words about the situation in the Ostriv district, where, according to reports, a fight with such a group took place a few days earlier, part of the saboteurs were killed, part captured, and at least two escaped. NV adds, citing the Telegram channel of the 34th Marine Infantry Brigade "Forpost 34" and Novynarnia, that on 22 October Russian soldiers from the 126th Coastal Defence Brigade tried to land sabotage groups in Kherson, and the Ukrainian unit was said to have eliminated them and taken one prisoner. According to the Ukrainian portal TSN, monitoring channels reported the take-off of a group of Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers from Olenya airbase during the night of 3 November. TSN relays that if the flight is combat-related, missile launches could take place around 3–4 a.m., with entry into Ukrainian airspace expected at 4–5 a.m., though these are preliminary estimates from the channels, and the report of the take-off itself does not confirm the use of missiles.
