Magda Łucyan becomes new anchor of TVN's main 'Fakty' news edition

Long-time TVN journalist takes the anchor chair

TVN has announced that Magda Łucyan is joining the hosts of the main 19:00 edition of 'Fakty' (Dziennikarka TVN potwierdza radosne wieści. Łucyan has been connected with the 'Fakty' newsroom and TVN24 for 14 years (Nowa prowadząca "Fakty" w TVN. To znana dziennikarka – Dziennik.pl). Over that time she has covered social, climate and political topics. She began as a 'Fakty' reporter and on TVN24 hosted the afternoon edition of 'Fakty', morning news blocks and her own programme on the climate crisis, 'Rozmowy o końcu świata' (Nowa twarz w "Faktach TVN". "Wielkie wyróżnienie" – Onet).

She is also the author of several interview series with witnesses to history, including 'Powstańcy', 'Obóz', 'Getto' and 'Sierpień 80'.

Reaction

Łucyan said the appointment is both a major distinction and a serious responsibility. She noted that she had risen through every level of the newsroom and that the final result depends on the whole team.

Health and writing

Łucyan has spoken publicly about living with endometriosis, which for years caused pain and made it harder for her to conceive (Magda Łucyan zmaga się z ciężką chorobą.
