Podkarpacie allocates over 182.5 million zloty to renewable energy in local government projects, supporting 109 investments

Over 182.5 million zloty for renewable energy

The Podkarpackie Voivodeship Board has decided to raise the amount available for renewable energy investments in the municipal sector. What the money will finance

The projects include the construction of photovoltaic farms, energy storage facilities and modern renewable energy installations (Ponad 182 mln zł na inwestycje na Podkarpaciu – com.pl). Beneficiaries will be municipalities in the region, powiat hospitals and municipal companies.

During the 259th sitting of the board, a strategic urban regeneration project in the Krosno functional area was also approved. Its total value exceeds 16 million zloty, with EU support of nearly 13.6 million zloty. The project will be carried out by the city of Krosno together with the gminas of Wojaszówka, Jedlicze, Korczyna and Chorkówka, and aims to modernise public spaces and improve residents' safety. The board also granted a subsidy to improve the safety of emergency medical workers.
