Warsaw Half Marathon Moves to March 2027 and Joins SuperHalfs Europa Series

In brief

• The Warsaw Half Marathon joins the new SuperHalfs Europa series, which runs alongside the original SuperHalfs series.
• Each series includes six half marathons, and finishing all six earns a separate SuperMedal.
• The 21st Warsaw Half Marathon is set for March 14, 2027, with registration opening November 16.

Warsaw joins a new European series

The announcement was made at a press conference in Porto. The SuperHalfs project, which until now linked six half marathons in Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Valencia, will add a second, independent series from 2027 called SuperHalfs Europa. Warsaw will be one of its six races, alongside Naples, Belgrade, Vienna, Riga and Stockholm (SuperHalfs Europa. Co warto wiedzieć o biegach nowego cyklu? – Biegowe.pl) (SuperHalfs rozszerza się o Warszawę. Będzie nowy europejski cykl – Biegowe.pl). The original series will be renamed SuperHalfs Originals, so the number of races under the SuperHalfs umbrella grows from six to twelve.

A separate challenge with its own medal

The two series will run independently. Each consists of six half marathons, and finishing all six races in a series earns a separate SuperMedal. Runners can pursue one challenge or both. Completion is tracked in a digital SuperPassport, where participants record confirmation of each finish (Półmaraton Warszawski ogłasza nową datę i dołączenie do SuperHalfs! – Bieganie.pl). Races can be completed in any order and spread across several seasons.

Date and registration for the 2027 edition

The organiser also marks the race's 20th edition as a record one, which it reports as a stage in the event's growth. Registration opens on November 16.

Why it matters for Warsaw

Warsaw becomes the first Polish city to appear in the SuperHalfs project. For the race, the move places it among a larger group of European half marathons and offers local runners a chance to earn an international medal without leaving the continent.
