In brief
- Budimex has presented its 2026-2030+ strategy, targeting revenue growth above 8% a year and an average EBIT margin above 6%.
- The plan aims to raise the share of foreign markets in revenue to 10-15% and keeps a dividend of up to 100% of net profit.
- Nine-month revenue reached PLN 7.06 billion, up 10%, with a backlog of PLN 17.3 billion.
Growth targets and margin goals
Budimex's base scenario for the coming years envisages average annual revenue growth (CAGR) above 8% and an average EBIT margin above 6% (Budimex ujawnia strategię do 2030 roku. Chce zwiększać przychody o ponad 8 proc. rocznie – bankier.pl) (Budimex przedstawił strategię na lata 2026-2030+, w której zakłada m.in. średnią marżę EBIT powyżej 6 proc. – Puls Biznesu). The company also aims to lift the share of foreign markets in its revenue to 10-15% (Lider polskiego rynku budowlanego chce się rozpychać za granicą – WNP.pl).
Dividend policy
The strategy keeps a stable dividend policy in place, under which the group may pay out up to 100% of net profit.
Current performance
In the first three quarters of 2026 the group generated PLN 7.06 billion in revenue, up 10% year on year. Gross profit from sales rose by more than 13% to PLN 896 million, lifting the margin from 12.3% to 12.7% (Budimex z mocnymi wynikami, w czwartek budowlana grupa ogłosi nową strategię - parkiet.com – parkiet.com). Operating profit reached PLN 516 million, roughly flat on a year earlier, and net profit attributable to shareholders fell 2% to PLN 432 million. The weaker operating result was driven mainly by a PLN 58.5 million impairment of receivables and deposits, largely linked to a settlement with PGE.
The order backlog stood at PLN 17.3 billion at the end of September, with a further PLN 4 billion in contracts awaiting signature.
Priorities
Chief Executive Artur Popko said the new strategy seeks to capture opportunities in defence and energy while preparing for a period after EU funds (Chcemy wykorzystać nowe okazje – Rzeczpospolita). He said the company is focusing on diversifying its business and offering investors predictable results. Popko also named expansion abroad, PPP projects and major domestic investments, including work on the nuclear power plant and the Central Communication Port (CPK), as priorities (Artur Popko: Polska jest kluczowym rynkiem dla Budimeksu, ale kierunkiem na najbliższe lata jest rozwój za granicą – Puls Biznesu). Foreign operations already account for 13% of the construction arm's revenue, and a large PPP project in the Czech Republic has recently been added to the portfolio.
The full strategy was set to be presented on Thursday.
