In brief

• Jacek Jelonek and Oliwer Kubiak have received a Polish transcript of their 2026 marriage in Portugal, making their union recognized in Poland.
• The couple said the procedure was easier than expected, and reports describe the office staff as professional and helpful.
• The article also outlines the couple's background, including their meeting on "Prince Charming" in 2021 and Jelonek's second place on "Dancing with the Stars" in 2022.

Transcript issued in Poland

Kubiak posted the news on November 1 (Jacek Jelonek i Oliwer Kubiak relacjonują wizytę w USC. Odebrali transkrypcję ślubu: "Oficjalnie mąż i mąż w Polsce" – pudelek.pl).

The couple married in Porto, Portugal, in early September 2026 (Jacek Jelonek i Oliwer Kubiak odebrali transkrypcję aktu ślubu. "Oficjalnie jesteśmy mężem i mężem" – Onet). They had been engaged since July 2024.

Smoother process than expected

The couple said the procedure was much easier than they had expected, and they described the move as a sign that Poland is moving toward equality. Styl.fm reported that staff at the office were professional and helpful (Jacek Jelonek i Oliwer Kubiak odebrali transkrypcję ślubu. "Oficjalnie mąż i mąż w Polsce" – styl.fm).

Until recently, Polish civil registry offices routinely refused to register marriages between people of the same sex. Officials cited the constitution and the lack of forms that allow two husbands or two wives to be entered (Oficjalnie ogłosili. "Jesteśmy mężem i mężem" – WP Kobieta).

Background of the couple

Jelonek and Kubiak met in 2021 on the set of the reality show "Prince Charming" („Oficjalnie jesteśmy mężem i mężem”. Finalista „Tańca z gwiazdami” podzielił się nowiną – RMF FM). In 2022 Jelonek took part in "Dancing with the Stars" on Polsat, where he formed the first male same-sex pair in the show's history with Michał Danilczuk and finished second. Two years later the pair appeared together in "Azja Express", and Kubiak joined the team of "Dzień dobry TVN" the same year.
