Head of the Odesa regional military administration Oleh Kiper confirmed the impact on the commercial building and the blaze that followed (Росіяни вдарили по торговельному центру в Одесі: спалахнула пожежа – TSN) (Росіяни атакували торговельний центр у густонаселеному районі Одеси – UNIAN). Local Telegram channels named the center as Simya, though this was not immediately confirmed by officials (Росія атакувала торговельний центр в Одесі: виникла пожежа, пошкоджені житлові будинки – Espreso).

Damage to homes

The deputy city mayor, Oleksandr Filatov, said that residential buildings were damaged alongside the shopping center overnight. Separately, reports from the morning of November 4 said the attackers had also struck the city again and damaged a private house.

Casualties and response

Officials said no reports of injured people had come in after the strike. The head of the city military administration, Serhiy Lysak, said the enemy had attacked Odesa, that trade infrastructure had been hit, and that details on the consequences were being clarified. Municipal services were working at the site to provide assistance to residents.
