According to the Ukrainian outlet Європейська правда, the Lithuanian government has approved an expansion of the list of facilities crucial to national security. The new proposals include, among others, the Vilnius TV Tower and the Kaunas radio station, which is meant to strengthen the protection of information and defence infrastructure. The draft will be presented to the Seimas during the autumn session, and in connection with recent incidents, the level of vigilance at strategic facilities in Lithuania will be raised (Уряд Литви схвалив розширення переліку важливих для нацбезпеки об'єктів – Європейська правда).
According to Європейська правда, the Lithuanian government rejected a proposal to disclose the names of undisclosed KGB collaborators, submitted by the leader of the ultranationalist party "Zorza Nimanów". The Ministry of Defence stated that although the goal of disclosing such persons is justified, the proposed measures are inappropriate, because regulations on disclosing information about former agents already exist. In the past, the Lithuanian Seimas did not support the public disclosure of names of former KGB agents, which caused controversy, especially in the context of revealing the past of some politicians, including the current president. According to the Ukrainian portal NV, the 94-year-old former Lithuanian leader Vytautas Landsbergis has been hospitalized in Vilnius. His son confirmed the information, and Landsbergis is in intensive care at the Santaros clinic, where he is undergoing medical tests. Vytautas Landsbergis, known for his role in restoring Lithuania's independence, is also a friend of Ukraine, which was emphasized in the context of his past support for Ukrainian causes (94-летнего бывшего лидера Литвы Витаутаса Ландсбергиса госпитализировали в Вильнюсе – NV).
