Shots fired at a passerby
Police in Garwolin received a report on Tuesday, 20 October, shortly before 7 p.m. that young people were shooting from an object resembling a firearm. A patrol was sent to the scene straight away.
Officers found a 52-year-old man there. He told them he was walking home with his wife when he heard a sound like a shot. Pellet through the window
According to the police account, one of the shots struck the frame of an open window in a nearby flat, damaged it, and the projectile went inside (Celował w przechodnia. Trafił w okno, pocisk wpadł do mieszkania – TVN24). Officers secured the air gun that had been used.
Suspect charged
The 20-year-old resident of Garwolin county was detained and has been charged in connection with the incident. The case shows how an air weapon, which can look like a real gun, can cause serious danger to people in a public space and in their homes.
