Jobs and automation

Shein says the expansion will bring more staff. Headcount at the Magnice site is expected to exceed 10,000 by the end of 2026. The company also plans to increase automation, with the number of autonomous robots in the facility reaching 6,500.

Context in Europe

Shein operates across several European markets, including Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Shein is not the only Chinese platform affected by the new rules: rivals Temu and AliExpress are also facing them. The European Union introduced shipping fees in July.
