Regional council reserves land for a planned plant

Why the investor is still unknown

A non-disclosure agreement prevents the public release of the company's name. Governor Richard Brabec (ANO) said the firm wants to keep its identity confidential until it decides on the location itself. He said the investor could decide by the end of this year or early next year, and the region is hoping to be chosen.

If the company goes ahead, construction would take place in 2027 to 2029.

Other projects in the same zone

The Triangle zone is also the subject of a separate project, a Korean tyre maker's factory that already holds a building permit. Local reports have linked the zone to a further investment of nearly 9.5 billion CZK, which would bring the combined figure close to 15 billion CZK.
